Important Merger Update (June 10th)
With the merger between Operating Engineers Credit Union and Community Savings Credit Union progressing as planned, it is important that you are aware of what is scheduled in the coming months.
On July 17, 2009, members will have access to their OECU accounts until 6:00pm. After which, internet banking, ATM, and point of sales transactions will be suspended until 11:00am the very next day (July 18th). This short disruption is unfortunately an unavoidable step we need to take to merge the two banking systems. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. During this short transition period, we encourage you to secure ALTERNATE PAYMENT METHODS such as cash, credit cards, or cheques.
If you have not done so already, you must contact the credit union BEFORE JULY 1st, 2009, to let us know that you wish to transfer your non-equity shares into the special 5-year Patronage Term Deposit , which is fully or partially redeemable at 3.5% (1% higher than the non-equity share account dividend declared by the Operating Engineers Board). This is NOT an automatic process, nor will interest be back-dated to April 1st, so do not delay.
