OUR MISSION
To serve the members of the Operating Engineers Credit Union in the best traditions of a financial cooperative by providing competitive, innovative services, that through sound business practices promote member assets growth and financial well-being for all.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that individuals have a right to participate in the ownership, control and direction of their organization, through a Board of Directors elected in accordance with the cooperative principle of one member, one vote.
That the democratic principle of responding to the wishes of the majority while respecting the views of the minority must prevail.
OUR OBJECTIVE
To provide a consistently high level of services on a friendly and personal basis.
To provide a range of financial services that meet both the economic and social needs of our members.
To operate in a financially responsible manner that is market-competitive and fair to our members, while generating an acceptable level of earnings and reserves.
To maintain and improve the quality of work life for our employees, consistent with sound business practices.
To participate in the development of an effective cooperative financial system.
WHO CAN JOIN OPERATING ENGINEERS CREDIT UNION ?
Members and employees of the B.C. Locals of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Bricklayers and Masons Union, the Tilesetters Union, the Tilesetters’ Helpers Union, the Lower Mainland Lodges of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and family members.
